head.jpgGary Eckert is a do-it-all musician: Singer, Writer, Producer, Keyboardist, Arranger, Lyricist, Drummer/Percussionist working regularly in Television, Radio, Film, Albums, Jingles, and live performance. Credits include frequent touring with 10-time Grammy Winner Bobby McFerrin for whom Gary has recorded studio vocals for an upcoming album; Choirmaster/Arranger/Producer for NBC and Blake Shelton on Clash of the Choirs which aired live in primetime four consecutive nights; Producer/Arranger/Singer for the Opener of the Daytona 300 on ESPN, shot and recorded in Oklahoma City and mixed in Nashville at Starstruck Studios. His performances as both a vocalist and percussionist have spanned the globe, including Athens, Cairo, Bangkok, Venice, Dubai, Montreal, New York, and Los Angeles. He has written, produced, and sung on thousands of television commercials and radio station IDs for broadcast in the United States and around the world, including campaigns for McDonalds, Burger King, Budwiser, General Electric, Kroger, Amazon.com, Walmart, CiCi’s Pizza, in addition to his vocal arrangements and performances with Symphony Orchestras around the US. A Dallas-based creative force, Gary is also owner of GEM Productions, Publishing & Records. He has degrees in both Music and Philosophy from the University of North Texas and has served as a college teacher in both disciplines. He has performed corporate shows for IBM, Rite Aid, and Cornerstone Marketing of America, and his signature style includes a percussion/dance technique he calls Body-Percussion, incorporating groove/accompaniment/vocals using only hands and feet on body and floor. He is currently in production of two solo CDs of all original material: one with full instrumentation, one strictly a-cappella. Gary also holds a National Ranking as a masters sprinter in the 400meter! He carries a boundless enthusiasm for making great music.
